Roxanne Borloz
- Full-Stack Web developer
- Web/Graphic Designer
- Digital accessibility Specialist
In 2011, I completed my professional graphic design training at the Art and Communication school of ERACOM in Lausanne. I gained my first professional experience at the Piscatello Design Centre in New York and collaborated with the El Fantasma de Heredia collective in Buenos Aires, which is involved in social justice projects. In 2013, I moved to Berlin, where I worked for the Swiss company Helvetiq, a publishing house specializing in educational books and games.
In 2014, I transitioned to full-time freelance work. Over the years, I shifted focus to web development and collaborated for several years with my friend Wies, also known as Fuut, on website projects developed with PHP and WordPress.
In 2019, while on a video call from Atomic Café in Montreal, I redefined my services with the help of Tao to better reflect my areas of interest and focus on cultural and social projects. The following year, I worked with Bøwie Gender Projects Incubator, where I conducted a workshop on digital accessibility.
In October 2022, I embarked on an 850-hour web development Bootcamp at Code Academy Berlin to align my skills with current technological trends.
In 2023, I developed the beta version of pvssy talk, a platform for information on sexual pain created by Anne-Soorya. I then worked on a five-month web development project at happycoding, where I refined my expertise with Sanity.io.
In 2024, the final version of pvssy talk was released, and we are excited to launch Velma, combining our strengths and continuing to work together.
